Welcome to the Battenkill Hunting Preserve, located in rural Salem, New York. Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, our private game and deer hunting preserve is an hour's drive north of Albany, and just minutes away from Manchester, Vermont. Many Vermont and N.Y. Capital Region attractions are an easy daytrip away from the Preserve.

Upon arrival at the Preserve, you will experience the same excitement we felt when we purchased the property for our guests to enjoy. Thanks to its combination of rolling wooded terrain, brush, grass, and cultivated fields, with White Creek winding throughout, Salem has been a natural hunting ground for whitetail deer hunters, game hunters, wingshooters, fly fishers, and other sport hunters and fisherman for many years.

We are known among our guests not only for the incredible variety of trophy-quality game animals available to hunt, but also for the incredible experiences we offer. Our staff of knowledgeable hunting guides at the Battenkill Hunting Preserve are specialists in putting together just the hunt you have in mind. Elk, Red Stag, Whitetail Deer, Exotics,and Game Birds

We offer custom-tailored as well as packaged deer and game hunts for individuals, groups, families, and corporate clients. In addition to whitetail deer hunting, guests can vie for fallow deer, sika deer, axis bucks, wild boar, red stag, elk, buffalo, blackbuck and black Hawaiian antelope, babirusa ram, mouflon, Corsican and Texas dall sheep, and other animals. For wingshooting we are currently hunting pheasants. We will be adding quail & chukar in the near future.
